A bit of background
The journey so far.....
JNB Information Governance was set up in 2019 by Julie Ferguson LLM when she decided to take the leap from being employed as a Deputy DPO (Data Protection Officer) in one of Bradford’s largest employers to becoming a consultant in data protection, marketing (in relation to data protection), and freedom of information compliance.
Her first client was a major utility company that kept her on for much longer than initially intended as a data migration project became in need of further support.
Following the birth of her daughter in June 2020, Julie decided to pursue her desire to work with more SMEs.
Julie has assisted a number of organisations of varying size – from a 1 woman band to an employer of thousands – in both the public and private sectors.

Breaking the fear barrier
A lot of SMEs manage to do the bare minimum when it comes to data protection because it is a complex subject, it feels overwhelming at times, and there is enough to deal with in just keeping a business going – especially in recent times.
JNB Information Governance Ltd wants to give their clients the right tools and help them build the correct foundations to enable full compliance that doesn’t require a lot of time to maintain. This is is what is called Data Protection by Design and Default (Article 25 UK GDPR).
